Frequently Asked Questions

We hope our website has answered all the questions you have, but if you are still a little unclear, please view our frequently asked questions below. Or if you would prefer to speak to someone, please don’t hesitate to call on 0870 744 7456 or send us a message using the link below.

To register with Goldteam all candidates must first visit the website and register on-line www.goldteam.co.uk. Simply click on job seeker and complete the simple 3 step process which should take no more than 10minutes to complete.

Once you have completed the on-line registration process a unique JS number is created (see question 2 for further explanation). This number is used to identify your profile account which is registered onto our database.

When requirements call for additional staff, a team of resources  filter through the database and call candidates to come along (if suitable) to attend a registration session. Registration can take place at our head office or the client site.

Registration consists of; contract and other documents being read and signed for, a picture being taken, ID check and verification,  thumb print signature being taken, and basic health and safety is covered.

Training can take place at our head office or the client site and by either Goldteam trainers, Client trainers or a mixture, depending on which client you will be sent to work at.

By now any attachment documents would have been attached and file approved. You are then ready for deployment to work by a Shift Coordinator or Account Manager

A JS number is created for an individual when they register onto our database. It stands for Job Seeker and it is used to easily identify you in our systems.

Goldteam follow the Prevention of Illegal Working guidelines and do not employ anybody who does not have the right to work in the UK. Proof can be:

British nationals – passport and NI or FULL birth certificate with NI proof and certified picture from GP, Solicitor or MP.

EU nationals – Passport or ID card with no restrictions to work and NI proof.

Outside of EU – Passport with valid visa with no restrictions to work and NI proof.

If your passport or visa has been sent to the UKBA for renewal or an extension you must provide the letter from the UKBA with a reference number so we can carry out an employer check (please note this can take up to 2 weeks).

No other form of documentation is accepted or taken to register candidates.

Once your file is checked and approved in the system, your details will be made available to the Shift Coordinator and you could be deployed to work in the next 48hrs, so long as all documents are complete.

All candidates are paid on a weekly basis, payroll is executed on the Wednesday or Thursday of every week, BACS payments take 3 days for payment to go through and cheques are dispatched on the Friday. All payments should therefore be with candidates by the Monday (please note payments are from the previous week; Monday to Sunday).

If you have not been paid at all you need to contact 0870 744 7456 and ask for the payroll department. Ensure you have your JS number and information about missing pay with dates. If you have not been paid correctly you need to contact your Shift Coordinator/ Account Manager on numbers provided at induction, they will need to check the timesheets first. Ensure you have your JS number and information about missing pay and dates.

Holiday pay is accrued on hours worked consistently, example if you work 40hours a week, this will accrue to 20 days of holiday a year pro rata. Holidays MUST be taken by 31st December of each year and can not be carried forward or paid.
